Product Details

Our Lipid Quantification Kit (Fluorometric) specifically detects neutral lipids in crude or purified samples using a lipid binding molecule that fluoresces only when bound to lipids. Upon removal of organic solvents, the fluorescent reagent is applied to samples and after a short incubation period an increase in fluorescence correlating to the amount of lipids in the sample is detected at 490nm emission and 585nm excitation. The lipid concentration in unknown samples is calculated based on a lipid standard curve.
