Carbohydrate Metabolism
Carbohydrates serve as energy sources and as structural elements in cells and are essential to several metabolic processes. Carbohydrates consist of oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon in the formula of CnH2nOn, with the predominant carbohydrate in living cells being glucose. We offer assays to measure total carbohydrates, starch, glucose, glycogen, lactose, and total sialic acid in samples.
